Getting to know SoulMotor lead singer/songwriter, DARIN WOOD.
When he’s not making music, he’s making movies.
Darin is the creative force behind TFO (Trash Film Orgy) Productions.
He’s a multi-discipline artist with a background in music and graphic design, and over 15 years experience writing, directing, producing and editing film and video projects, as well as experience in exhibition.
Darin began collaborating with (wife) Christy Savage in 1992 on the short super 8 film REFLECTIONS IN A DEAD GIRL’S EYE, which he wrote and co-produced. In 1994, he began co-producing and hosting a long-running cable access program called DETH’S OOGLY HED, while continuing to work on writing, directing and editing numerous short and commercial projects.
In 2001, he co-founded the Trash Film Orgy Film Festival, which he continues to co-produce, write and co-host.
In 2004, he directed the short. “Carnival of the Damned” for the Sacramento Film and Music Festival. He then went on to write and direct “Curse of the Golden Skull” and “Monster From Bikini Beach,” as well as a number of shorts including, “Cheerleaders From Hell” and the upcoming 3D adventure, “Grunk the Smasher.”
TFO Productions world premiere of “Planet of the Vampire Women,” took place this past weekend at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento, California.
